About Donna

Raised in Wisconsin, in an Iranian-American household with an unreasonably early curfew, Donna fell in love with writing and reading at an early age. With eight months of winter every year—and a frequent victim of groundings for breaking that curfew—her favorite thing to do was to curl up with books. (And in retrospect, her disobedient youth only helped inspire her teenage characters who are always knee-deep in mischief.)

Other than loving all things literary, Donna is an avid Green Bay Packer fan, attributes the musician Prince for pushing her down a creative path, and has seen each episode of the show Psych at least ten times.

Donna splits her time between Milwaukee, WI and Charleston, SC. Regardless of locale, she can typically be found writing—with her Carolina Dog, Seve, curled up next to her.
